Understanding Acceptance

I am a people person. People are very interesting to me. The way that individuals deal with situations and circumstances intrigues me. Our view of the world changes a lot through life. There are many ways to handle every situation. Acceptance has been my stronghold. I know that I cannot control a lot of things, I just have to accept them and know they will be taken care of. Therein lies my sanity. I never really realized until recently that I've been dealing with things this way my whole life. That someone somewhere instilled this in me. I've accepted my limitations, I've accepted my circumstances, I've accepted my life. "Acceptance = to be happy with one's place in life; the ability to move forward; to be at peace." My own definitions rendered.

In Rewind

To see this life
As a passive wanderer
A drifter that connects
Only to see them go.
Life as a rambler,
Stumbling onto marvelous things,
as we continue to move,
our emotions bring us back.
And as moving is the standard
In this life we find
The feelings never leave us
But find us in rewind.

Meaning

Life, full of meaning,
Full of feeling, endless existence,
Every moment, ceases to be,
Bracing the life, full.
Air grasping the trees, moving the earth,
Unearthing the fullness, without recoil.
Tug of war takes us along for the ride,
Unwillingly without remorse.
Embracing what is to be, what is to come,
Takes feeling so full.
To see the meaning is to be vulnerable,
be open,
and let life,
fill us.

Amazing Sky...

I am constantly amazed at the sky in which we look up at everyday. Tonight, in the matter of a thirty minutes, the sky turned dark and it began to down pour. In the midst of the storm as we were driving, views of the dark clouds with sun simultaneously, a huge rainbow weaving its way into the clouds then out again, then a hole of clear sky appearing for the sun to shine just before sunset to illuminate the clouds ever so beautifully. I am so thankful that I have the sight and the insight to be able to experience this as not everyone does. Experiencing every moment...
